What You’ll Be Doing Day-To-Day

•   Care for Little Ones (Infants to Age 12) – Be part of their early adventures, from first steps to imaginative play.
• Create Fun & Learning Through Play  – Plan and enjoy age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities that make every day special.
• Get Outside & Explore  – Whether it’s a walk to the park, a visit to the splash pad, or backyard fun, you’ll help kids soak up the fresh air and sunshine.
• Keep Kids Safe & Happy  – Your top priority is making sure the children in your care are safe, secure, and smiling.
• Prep Simple Meals & Snacks  – Fuel growing bodies with tasty bites throughout the day.
• Tidy Up with a Team Spirit  – Clean up after meals and playtime with a little help from the kids — teamwork makes the dream work!

More Than In-Home Childcare

While many assignments take place in family homes, our caregivers also have opportunities to support children in a variety of settings, including:

• Corporate Events – Provide engaging childcare while parents attend conferences, meetings, trainings, or company events.
• Weddings & Special Events – Create a fun, supervised space where children can play while families celebrate life's biggest moments.
• Church Functions & Nursery Care – Care for infants and children during worship services, Bible studies, and church-sponsored events. 
• Community Programs – Support childcare at local organizations, recreation programs, festivals, and family-focused community events.
• Business Childcare Partnerships – Provide backup or on-site childcare for businesses that partner with Jovie to support working families.

No matter the setting, you'll represent Jovie by delivering safe, reliable, and engaging care while creating positive experiences for children and their families.

First Things First — A Must-Have Requirement

To be part of our team, every caregiver must have:

• A reliable personal vehicle
• A valid driver’s license
• Active auto insurance

This is required—our caregivers support families across the Pittsburgh area, and reliable transportation is essential to your success in this role . 

️ Where You’ll Work

Greater Pittsburgh Area , including but not limited to: Wexford, Allison Park, Fox Chapel, Sewickley, Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, North Side, Mount Lebanon, Oakland, Moon, Cranberry, Plum, Green Tree, Downtown, Irwin, Leechburg, Canonsburg, McDonald, Regent Square, Gibsonia, Valencia & more.

⏰ Schedule Options

• Part-time
• Full-time
• Fully flexible roles

Typical shifts may include:

• 4–10 hour shifts
• Daytime, before-school care, after-school care, date nights 
• Monday–Friday availability
• Occasional weekends, on-call, or event care opportunities

Pay & Benefits

Part-Time: $17–$18/hr

Pay is based on experience, availability, flexibility, and willingness to travel.

⭐ What We’re Looking For

• At least 18 years old
• Minimum of 2 years childcare experience
• Infant/toddler experience (preferred)
• CPR certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
• Three childcare references
• Daytime availability
• Flexibility - ability to work irregular hours if needed.
• ABA/Autism experience is a plus!
• Comfortable working with multiple families AND multiple children within the home. 

Required for ALL caregivers:

• Reliable personal vehicle
• Valid driver’s license
• Active auto insurance

Additionally:

• Willingness to obtain and maintain required clearances (including those needed for event/B2B care—fully reimbursed)
