Monday- Friday position working a rotation of 6 and 8 hour days. No scheduled weekends or holidays. No formal training is needed for position, as willing to train the right applicant on the job, but experience in phlebotomy is preferred. Collects and manages samples of blood and specimens from patients/residents; ensures patient/resident safety during the sample collection process. Records and documents patient/resident information accurately. Follows all standard procedures and safety regulations; deploys asepsis techniques during phlebotomy procedures. Communicates with patients/residents, collecting their health information and answering their questions regarding phlebotomy procedures.
Qualifications
High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required. Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
